How Pilates Eased the Pain From Lymphedema

As a 2-time Cancer Survivor, I know how important health and fitness are. 

During the pandemic, I was working from home and sitting at my desk every day with limited physical activity.   When I retired the end of  December, 2021, I knew this was my opportunity to find a fitness plan I enjoyed.   An  offer came up on my Facebook about a free intro session at Club Pilates, so I decided to give it a try.  I knew I would like it and did so I decided to join.  I started attending classes two times a week.  I found I really liked all work on the Reformer itself.  It makes me feel so good after each class. 

I have Lymphedema in my left leg and the work on the reformer has helped significantly with stretching and improved swelling.

I also feel improved strength in my upper arm strength.  I notice my posture has also improved!

The people at the Cedar Park Studio are all so welcoming, both the staff and members.  I was a bit concerned with cleanliness due to the pandemic, and found my concern a non-issue as everyone is aware.

  The studio is very clean and all members clean their station after each class. 

I have told all my friends how much I enjoy Club Pilates.  I am happy to have found something I enjoy so much and want to attend.  I look forward to my classes.
