Pilates is a great way to assist your body with maintaining while doing your regular exercise regimen. As a personal trainer, I enjoy doing bootcamps, interval training, and intense cardio. Although these activities are great for keeping me active, they can also place wear and tear on my joints and ligaments, especially the spine.
When I discovered Pilates and the meaning behind the design of the exercises, naturally I wanted to learn this concept and give back to the community by teaching Joseph Pilates principles. Pilates is great for decompressing the spine and helping with lengthening and strengthening. So many people suffer from back, and knee injuries from posture imbalances and everyday use. Combining the power of breath and movement is essential to a balanced body.
Because Pilates is very detailed in training, most certified programs require 400 to 500 hours of study and practice to be completed. This can be very difficult to achieve if you work a full-time job on top of the school.
It was purposely designed for the individual that is on the go but wants to receive quality training. The option of being able to watch videos from home then come to class to practice the material is great! Also, the weekend class times were perfect for me since I work full time during the week. The class size was small and compact so it gave us more room to ask questions and go deeper into group discussions without losing track of time. The master trainers are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their practice and the studios are very up to date and modern.
For people entering the allied health professions, this is a great program because of the details of the muscular-skeletal system. It’s also great for someone that just wants to learn more about their body awareness and the physiological aspects of their body.
Pilates is one of the fastest-growing practices in the world. More people are becoming aware of the importance of health and fitness and are looking for a great way to get in shape and maintain that lifestyle. The training I have obtained from Club Pilates will help me to continue to grow in my practice for years to come. Let Club Pilates be your powerhouse!"
