I cannot say enough great things about what it's meant to me to join my local Club Pilates in Tulsa.
I feel like I found my way back to being the woman I want to be.
I am an Army veteran. I loved working out and being in shape, but I suffered stress fractures in my hips towards the end of my Army career, so exercise became difficult for me.
In January of 2023, I turned 43. I was at the highest weight I had ever been, and I really wanted a change. With the encouragement and support of one my closest friends I started Weight Watchers, where I quickly began to shed some of the pounds. I was so proud of myself, but knew there was more I needed to do to maintain my health.
While refusing cake at a birthday party for one of my kid's classmates, another friend told me that she had been going to Pilates and that she loved her results. She looks amazing, so I decided to give it a try.
From the first intro class, I was hooked.
The instructor, Linda, was so amazing, and the routine was unlike anything I had tried before. I signed up that day for the unlimited classes.
I have been taking between 3-5 classes per week, and in just 3 months, I am so happy with my results.
I have taken over 40 classes and each one has been different. The instructors are amazing, and no matter who leads the class, my experience has been amazing.
I have been able to work at my own pace while continually getting stronger.
During the first class, I could barely hold a plank for 15 seconds. I was so proud of myself the day I realized I held a plank for a full minute AND I maintained my form while doing it!
I have muscle definition and visible changes in my figure. I feel like I look good in my clothes again. My self-confidence has sky rocketed, and I love being me again.
An added bonus - I am down almost 30 pounds. I feel more confident in all that I do and I owe it to Club Pilates. I look forward to my Pilates class and miss it on the days I don't go.
For those looking for a place that will push you physically in a safe way, Club Pilates is the way to go.
I feel like I am becoming the best version of myself and finding myself in the best shape of my life. I love Pilates!
